Say what am i up to again this time round?
*Drum rolllllll* Presenting the
French Almond Macaroons(FAM)!
This is a rather difficult pastry to make; and considering this is my first attempt, the result was sastifactory. I will not recommend this to any cooking-is-a-arse-thing man to attempt this dish, unless you are dying to make a Vday/ Bdae/ Anniversary present to impress your spouse =P
French Almond Macaroon Intro:
Traditional french pastry, making use of a meringue batter and later a infusion of ground almond (blanch). The former gives the pastry a cloudy light texture upon baking, whilst the latter gives it is aroma and chewiness!
2 macaroon biscuit sandwiching a layer of usually butter-cream, or a ganache!
p.s you can use meringue to ice cakes, or make marshmallow!
p.s
also, because of the traditional and french part, and the fact this pastry can only be hand made, this explains the exorbitant price you see in pastry shop. Food for thought, the ingredients are ridiculously cheap, but SKILL! Pay for the SKILL!Cinnamon Chocolate Ganache FAM
Look! The moist chewy interior!
The biscuits, not perfect doh, no feet T.T
Haha nipples >_> i forgot to smooth them b4 baking!
Did the
cinnamon flavour this time round; since am a little cranky over cinnamon lately!
Thy shall attempt to try other flavour! =D
